How to report an error

Email corrections@edtreatmentguides.com with:

  • The page URL.
  • The specific statement you believe is incorrect.
  • Why you believe it is incorrect.
  • A source, if you have one.

You do not need to be a clinician to report an error, and we do not treat reports differently based on who sends them.

What we do with it

  1. Acknowledge — we aim to reply within five business days.
  2. Verify — we check the claim against primary sources rather than against our own previous work.
  3. Act — if it is wrong, we fix it. Errors with safety implications are corrected immediately, ahead of anything else in the queue.
  4. Disclose — substantive corrections are noted on the page itself, with the date and what changed.
  5. Reply — we tell you what we did, including when we concluded the original was right.

What we disclose, and what we simply fix

Disclosed on the page:

  • Any factual error about a medication, dose, interaction, contraindication or risk.
  • Any error that could have led a reader to make a different decision.
  • A materially wrong price, product feature or availability claim.
  • A misattributed or misrepresented source.
  • A rating changed for a reason other than a re-review.

Fixed silently:

  • Typographical and grammatical errors.
  • Broken links and formatting problems.
  • Routine scheduled updates, which are reflected in the page’s “last updated” date.

How a correction appears

A correction notice is added to the affected page in this form:

Correction — 4 March 2026

An earlier version of this page stated that the minimum interval before nitrate administration after tadalafil was 24 hours. It is 48 hours. Corrected 4 March 2026.

We do not delete the page, quietly rewrite the sentence, or remove the record. If an error was serious enough to mislead someone, the correction should be visible to the people it misled.

Safety-critical errors

Errors involving contraindications, drug interactions, dosing limits or emergency guidance are treated as urgent. We aim to correct or temporarily remove the affected content within 24 hours of verification, and the correction notice stays on the page permanently rather than expiring.

If you have identified something in this category, please say so in the subject line so it is not queued behind routine mail.

Retraction

Where an article is so substantially wrong that correction is not sufficient, we retract it. The URL continues to resolve, the content is replaced with a retraction notice explaining what was wrong and why, and the notice remains indefinitely. We do not delete URLs to make errors disappear from the record.
