The three-minute phone call

Have the drug name, strength and quantity written down, then ask two questions.

  1. Do I need a membership to fill a prescription here? In most states the answer is no.
  2. What is the cash price for sildenafil 50 mg, thirty tablets — and would a discount card be lower?

The advantage nobody advertises

A pharmacist standing in front of you can look at every medication you take and check it against what you are collecting. For PDE5 inhibitors that is not a nicety — nitrates are an absolute contraindication, alpha-blockers need dose separation, and strong CYP3A4 inhibitors need dose reduction.

An online questionnaire asks you to self-report those. A pharmacist can see your dispensing history. Run our safety check either way, but the in-person conversation is a genuine layer of protection.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Costco membership?
In most US states, no — pharmacies are generally required to serve non-members. Rules vary, so confirm at your local warehouse.
Is it cheaper than a discount card?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Ask the pharmacist to compare both and charge you the lower.
Do I still need a prescription?
Yes. Sildenafil is prescription-only in the US.
