When a compounder is actually relevant to tadalafil
For most prescriptions it is not. Tadalafil is manufactured in four strengths that between them cover daily dosing and on-demand use, and the approved generic is cheap and interchangeable. The reasons to involve a compounding pharmacy are narrow and specific.
- A strength between the manufactured ones, where a prescriber has a documented reason for it.
- A liquid or alternative form, where swallowing tablets is genuinely not possible.
- An intolerance to an excipient in the approved product, confirmed rather than assumed.
- Not: a chewable or 'faster' version of a tablet that already works — that trades FDA assurance for a format preference.

Is this compounded tadalafil?
No. It is the ordinary FDA-approved generic at the standard strengths. Compounding would only come into it if a prescriber needed a strength or form that is not manufactured.
Should I take it daily or as needed?
Daily suits regular or unpredictable frequency and removes planning entirely; on-demand suits occasional, plannable use. Around twice a week is where daily usually starts to make more sense.
Why is the nitrate window longer with tadalafil?
Because it stays in the body far longer than sildenafil. Assume at least 48 hours, and tell any emergency clinician exactly what you took and when.
